My Background

I grew up in Santa Barbara, California and have always been in love with music and singing. I was an active singer through childhood and high school. After high school, I entered college as a music Major where I was able to learn more about music theory and musicianship, and continue to perform frequently, often accompanied by full orchestra. At this time, even though I was learning classical music and performing in operas and choirs, I began singing in multiple bands at restaurants, wineries, private events, sports events, and local venues as well. I was able to tap into different sides of myself and develop my songwriting skills and explore non-classical genres. I was also working as a recording artist and doing vocal sessions with musicians in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. After I received my Bachelors Degree in music at Cal State University Northridge, I continued my education to complete my Masters Degree in music at CSUN. I was fortunate to be able to play many lead roles in operas which allowed me to grow in my ability to perform and to broaden my repertoire. Since completing graduate school in 2017, I have received my yoga instructor’s license, taught yoga and voice lessons in Santa Monica, and continued to perform throughout LA at venues such as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the LA Galaxy Stadium, and more. I have hosted musical events and have taught workshops. I received my training and license as a “Heart Based” singing instructor from the renowned voice teacher and author of “Heart Based Singing,” Agatha Carubia, Juilliard graduate and teacher of Katie Perry, amongst other internationally acclaimed singers. I absolutely love teaching and guiding students of all styles, ages, and stages.
